OTR brings delight to this year’s Christmas Pageant

Two unique elements of this year’s National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant have been unveiled following support from convenience retailer OTR.

In a year for firsts for the Pageant, audiences at Adelaide Oval and home viewers on Channel 9 will be treated to a series of Christmas Carol performances throughout the evening by the Australian Girls’ Choir and a powerful Light of Hope Ceremony.

The Light of Hope ceremony will incorporate a truly memorable and poignant moment involving 400 dancers and more than 1000 candles. The audience at home and the Oval will be invited to join in with their mobile phone lights to help shine a light of hope for the future.

The Australian Girls Choir will create an event spectacular as Adelaide Oval comes alive with a 100 strong Choir singing carols on-stage alongside a soon to be announced headline act.

Both the Christmas Carols and the Light of Hope supported by OTR will be welcomed to Adelaide Oval on 14 November 2020 as a beacon of hope and joy for the children and families of South Australia.

“Each of these new elements to the Pageant have been creatively designed to incorporate a simple, but powerful image, that shares a very important message – and that is the message of hope, says Pageant Director, Brian Gilbertson.

“The Light of Hope will be a very moving feature of the Pageant, and one that we would encourage all families at Adelaide Oval and at home to participate in through the use of their mobile phones.”

Yasser Shahin, Executive Chair, OTR and Peregrine Corporation says that these two unique elements, which will both be presented as part of the National Pharmacies Pageant for the first time, represent the joy and community spirit of the Christmas season.

‘The Light of Hope is set to be a centrepiece of the Pageant and great symbol of optimism for South Australians, after such a challenging year for many in our community,” says Yasser.

“We’re delighted that with OTR’s support this wonderful event will be enhanced, at a time when so many seasonal events have been cancelled in 2020”.

“This year’s National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is about doing everything we can, to bring the Christmas message of family, love, hope and joy to our state, from the City to our suburbs, and regional communities” says National Pharmacies CEO, Vito Borrello.

South Australians can join in the fun by downloading the Carols Songbook (supported by OTR) including the lyrics from the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant website: christmaspageant.com.au.

The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be broadcast exclusively and LIVE in South Australia on Channel 9 and 9Now ensuring that South Australians do not miss out on the Pageant festivities.
