Young Retailer of the Year Award 2018

South Australia’s largest private employer and leading retailer, OTR, is proud to announce that Louise Stephens, OTR Coordinator, has won the ‘2018 Rest Young Retailer of the Year Award’ at the 2018 eftpos Australian Retailers Association (ARA) Awards.

The Young Retailer of the Year Award recognises and rewards exceptional young talent under 25 years in the retail and fast food industry. Louise was the only South Australian person or business to win an award at this year’s event.

Louise Stephens began working with Peregrine Corporation at Krispy Kreme in June 2014, before moving into OTR’s HR & Recruitment team as a Recruiter in November 2016. In May 2017, she moved to Operations Helpdesk, the job for which she won her award.

“Winning Young Retailer of the Year means so much to me. I have been with Peregrine Corporation for over four years, and during this time have learnt and achieved so much. Being recognised by the ARA Awards is highly rewarding, but I couldn’t have achieved this without the support of my colleagues and managers at Peregrine,” said Louise.

This achievement comes off the back of Peregrine recently winning ‘Large Retailer of the Year’ at the 2018 Australian Retail Awards, which recognises the outstanding business outcomes of Australian retailers who continue to adapt, improve and innovate in their field.

Darryl Cotter, OTR’s General Manager said, “We are incredibly proud of Louise for winning the 2018 Young Retailer of the Year at the ARA Awards, and particularly for being the only South Australian to be awarded. This award highlights the excellent work of our team members who serve our guests every day, and Louise is an exemplary example of this.”

“OTR is committed to providing exceptional service for every one of our guests and creating jobs and careers for many South Australians,” Cotter continued.

The ARA Awards breakfast, held at Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne celebrated the breadth of talent in Australia’s retail realm across customer experience, technology, payments, sustainability, employee development, supply chain management, business growth and corporate social responsibility.
